Penalties

1) General
a) The timing of a penalty commences with the face off following the penalty call. Penalties are in straight time for the duration of three minutes unless other wise indicated.

2) Goaltenders
a) If a goaltender is assessed a penalty it will be served by a player on the ice at the time of the infraction and each subsequent shift must play shorthanded until the penalty time expires.

3) Coincidental Penalties
a) Coincidental penalties: no substitution allowed

4) Body Checking- not permitted
a) Body checking will be assessed a three (3) minute penalty. A second infraction by a player will draw a seven (7) minute major penalty, a third ,ejection from the game.

5) Slapshots:
a) Slapshots are not allowed (Goals scored using slapshot will be disallowed).

6) Abusive Language
a) Abusive language or hand gestures by players or officials will not be tolerated and will draw a seven (7) minute Non sportsman like Conduct penalty or bench penalty. If abuse persists a Game Misconduct will be assessed and the player or official suspended for a minimum of one (1) game. Such incidents will be reviewed by the league.

7) High Sticking, Crosschecking
a) Raising the stick above the knee while shooting or making contact with the puck inappropriately above the waist will be a three (3) minute penalty.    
   b) High sticking contact with a player and or cross checking penalties will be seven (7) minute majors.     

8) Intent to injury
a) Major penalties for deliberate intent to injure will result in a game misconduct and a suspension of a minimum of a one(1)next game.

9) Game Misconduct penalties
a) Game Misconduct will result in suspension from the balance of the game and a minimum of one (1) more game. A player receiving two (2) major penalties or one (1) major and one of the following minor penalties will receive a Game Misconduct. 1) slashing 2) Roughing 3) Non sportsman like Conduct 4) Any combination of three (3) of the above minor penalties will also result in a Game Misconduct. b) Any player receiving a fighting penalty will be ejected from the game with a Game Misconduct penalty and suspended for at least two (2) additional games. A second fighting penalty by a player during the season will result in suspension from the league pending further review by the President and League executive.

10) Match Penalties
a) Match Penalties will result in suspension from the balance of the game and a minimum of one (1) more games.
b) Any player receiving a fighting penalty will be given a match penalty and a minimum two (2) game suspension in addition to the match penalty.
c) If fighting penalty occurs during the last 3 minutes of the game or after final buzzer has rung, the player will be suspended from the league pending further review by the President and League Executive.

11) Hitting From Behind
a) Minor penalty for hitting from behind will result in a three (3) minute penalty.
b) Hitting From Behind with deliberate intent to injure will result in a game seven (7) minute major penalty and a game misconduct.

          SUSPENSIONS

All infractions occurring before, during and after and scheduled game are subject to review by league officials.   League officials may assess suspensions 

at any  time during the regular season or playoffs.
