comes from the University of Saskatchewan in cooperation with
others groups. The site contains Collections, Location, Languages,
and Contacts. 
Encounters:
Early Images of Canada's Aboriginal Peoples contains
4 pages of photographs and text from members of the Geological
Survey of Canada ranging from 1878 to 1964 from around the country.

Nations Arts: An Introduction to Contemporary Native Artists
in Canada contains biographies and resources on contemporary artists.

First
Nations Drum: News from Canada's Native Communities
is published 4 times a year and contains news as well as stories
under the categories of Biography, Books, Community, Culture,
Humour, Environment, History, and Politics. The site also has
a Native Directory, and Archives.
First
Nations House of Learning at UBC contains information
on admission, programs, events, as well as links to resources
including an extensive list of online resources on the Xwi7xwa
Library page.
First
Nations in BC
is an
online gallery from the BC Archives Time Machine. It presents
images of "historical First Nations life including clothing,
housing, food gathering and preparation." The gallery is
divided into the following sections: Cultural Areas, People of
the Northwest Coast, People of the Interior, European Contact,
Confederation to Present, West Cast Moving Image Gallery, Interior
Moving Image Gallery, Teacher's Corner, and Books and Sources.

Canadian Museum
of Civilization: First
Peoples contains sections on Native People, Emergence,
The Haida, and Inuit 3D as well as many other pages such as Native
Ranching, Tshimshian Prehistory, Storytelling, People of the Salmon,
Threads of the Land, and many more. The site also has 4 page of
resources on Indigenous
Peoples - Canada offering links to many other websites.
Government
of Nunavut contains a variety of information on the
territory and its government. 
Hamilton
Public Library: The
History of Louis Riel (And the Rebellion of 1885) is a
nice site that contains primary documents related to Riel such
as his trial speech, photographs, and newspaper accounts. The
site is easy to navigate and easy to understand. 
Indian
and Northern Affairs Canada contains a variety of
information on Education, Treaties, and links to a variety of
resources. 
Indian
Residential Schools Resolution Canada is a government
site containing information on residential schools as well as
contact information. There is a historical overview and timeline
from the 1880s to 1996 as well as map of residential schools in
Canada. 
National
Museum of the American Indian is a part of the Smithsonian
Instituion and recently opened in Washington, DC. The site doesn't
have much in the way of online exhibitions yet but it probably
will in the future.

The Blackfoot Tipi is a photo essay about traditional
homes. 
Northwest
Resistance is a database of materials held by the University
of Saskatchewan Libraries and the University archives contains
a database, and a page on the 1885 resistance with short biographies
and a chronology of events.

on various communities in Bc with a population of over 250. You
can search these profiles as well as find additional information
