Fairy Tales from National Geographic contains 12 of their
stories of which 4 have audio. The site contains a basic timeline
of their lives, a map, fairly lengthy article on the brothers
Grimm as well as links to related sites. This site would be for
use with older students.

Lesson Plans used to have its own page on AskERIC but I haven't
been able to find the page. However, if you search for "School
Library Media Activities Monthly" then it will return the
lesson plans that come from the print magazine of the same name.
Blue
Web'n Learning Sites Library contains
a searchable database of over 1000 learning sites that are categorized
by subject area, audience, and type. They regularly update the
site but you can also subscribe to their mailing list, and they'll
e-mail you weekly about hot education sites on the Internet with
brief descriptions and links.
Book
Raps: An Internet Curriculum-based Project: Let's Get Serious!
by Cherrol McGhee (paper presented in 1998) explains Book Raps,
and provides the resources for getting started.

is a really great site that I used during my practicuum. The Library

is an Australian project that is basically a book discussion via

Biography Mobiles (middle school), and Container Book Report (secondary).

Wizard: contains 4 word puzzle Flash games. Each
game takes words from a book and scrambles them; students are
also given clues to help unscramble the words. Four books are:

The INTERNET: Know Before You Go Into Cyberspace! is a
site for elementary-aged students from the US Department of Justice.
This site has somewhat of a legal/ethical focus which might be
worth exploring with students. There is a section that poses 5
scenarios and asks students what they would do, and after they
choose it explains the implications of the scenario, and then
has students think about the situation in a more real-world way.
There's also a page with some do's and don'ts, as well as a section
that contains the story of a teenage hacker in Boston.
Shape
Books from ABCteach contain
templates for book pages in a variety of shapes including television,
rocket ship, stamp, crayon, iguana, maple leaf, and more.

Book contains 35 good quality coloring pages on a variety
of insects and animals.
Puzzlemaker
is a handy little site that lets you create puzzles for your class.
All you have to do is enter in the information and the puzzle
will then be created for you. There are several different types
of puzzles so you're students won't get bored of seeing the same
type of puzzle over and over again. The site also has mazes, and
a variety of educational "games" for students.

Very
Best Kids is a site for children (K-5) that is sponsored
by Nestle. This site was suggested by a teacher who has used the
craft ideas with her students, and she says that the projects
are "incredibly simple to make using their step-by-step instructions,
pictures, and printable templates." Besides craft ideas,
the site also has about 20 lessons suitable for elementary classes.
