Wizard: contains 4 word puzzle Flash games. Each
game takes words from a book and scrambles them; students are
also given clues to help unscramble the words. Four books are:
Franklin in the Dark, The Hungry Little Caterpillar, Chrysanthemum,
and Corduroy.

K. Rowling Official Site is graphic intensive but
a nice place for the Harry Potter fan to visit. Mostly contains
info about her Harry Potter and her writing.

Write,Think to create an online Shockwave Word
Mover activity in which students are given a passage
and allowed to manipulate the text in order to create a found
poem which can then be printed.

Graphic
Novles List is a list of 100 graphic novels (PDF)
by author and publisher that was created for the Bibliotheque
Nationale du Quebec. The list is of English graphic novels and
there also several award-winning lists. This list is free for
use and download by nonprofit libraries and if you send a thank-you
later (the address is on the site).
Scholastic:
Harry Potter contains lots of info on the books including
a pronunciation guide, a discussion chamber, quiz, printable poster,
polls, and a screen-saver. Fun little sites that kids should enjoy.

Thornhill is an author and illustrator of various
nature books. Her site contains a bio, list of her books with
cover illustrations, Illustration Questions and Answers, information
on how a couple of her books were put together, contact and visit
information, as well as some links to children's book sites and
sites related to the content of her books.
Teaching
Point of View with Two Bad Ants
is a lesson for grades 3-5 that comes from Read, Write,
Think. The lesson includes printable resources as well
as assessment rubrics and related links.
