Oral Presentation

You will be giving a short oral presentation (1 1/2 to 2 minutes) on your explorer.

Your presentation must include:

- date of birth & death
- employer(s)
- routes your explorer took on his/her journeys
- an interesting or unusual fact
- a description of your sketch
- what you think your explorer contributed to the development of Canada

Here's some advice to follow when giving your presentation:

- Practice your presentation ahead of time so you know what you're going to talk about
- Face the class
- Speak clearly and loudly
- Refer to your poster when speaking (e.g.. show on the map where you explorer traveled)
- If you get nervous, focus on the teacher or one of your friends when talking
